The Imito Story

Resilience, Craftsmanship, and the Evolution of Style

2016 – 2017

The Brighton Blueprint

The seeds of Imito were sown in the creative coastal town of Brighton, UK, in 2016. What began as a collaborative concept between two friends, Harib and Martin, aimed to bridge the gap between high-end bespoke tailoring and modern accessibility. However, in 2017, the duo decided to part ways. Harib, holding onto the original vision, began the journey of bringing the Imito concept to Pakistan.

The Launch, The Partner, and The Pandemic

In early 2019, Imito officially opened its doors in Zamzama Lane 2, DHA, Karachi. The store was a modest but ambitious 350-square-foot space. During these first few months, Shehzer joined Harib as a partner to help establish the brand's footprint.

However, the debut was met with an unprecedented global challenge. When COVID-19 hit, the retail landscape shifted overnight, and the store was forced to shut down. During this period of uncertainty, the partnership with Shehzer concluded, leaving Harib to navigate the future of the brand alone.

The Relaunch: A One-Man Vision

Refusing to let the concept die, Harib relaunched Imito as the sole founder. He leaned into the original Brighton philosophy, focusing on high-quality, personalized garments. He was supported by a small but formidable team: Sandal and the store manager, Tanveer. Together, they turned the small 350-sqft studio into a destination for Karachi's style-conscious clientele.

2024 – 2025

Transition and Continuity

For five years, Tanveer was the face of Imito's operations, managing the store with dedication and warmth. His sudden passing in December 2024 was a profound loss for the Imito family.

As the brand moved into 2025, the search for a successor led to Mr. Moeez, who took over the mantle of Store Manager. Under this new management, the brand prepared for its largest expansion to date.

From a 350-sqft dream to a 1,200-sqft reality, Imito continues to prove that while partners and locations may change, the commitment to the "Perfect Fit" is forever.
